Coaches employed by an organisation are likely to encounter clients who introduce complex and sensitive wellbeing issues into the work. Deciding if and how to work with these clients can be particularly challenging.

We develop their professional practice when working with performance and wellbeing issues through:

Supervision
Working with a supervisor, either individually or in groups, to learn from their experience of coaching clients with health and wellbeing issues and enhance their capacity to work with them in future
Training Workshops
To develop their capacity to coach:
  • individuals with sensitive performance and wellbeing issues
  • line managers of individuals with performance and wellbeing issues

We develop their ability to:

  • work with clients’ wellbeing issues professionally
  • develop their own levels of emotional resilience
  • manage organisational dilemmas and boundary issues effectively
  • understand and manage their own engagement with wellbeing issues
  • identify when a referral to another professional is appropriate
  • manage endings with clients
